Nevena Divac

Dr Nevena Divac is an Associate Professor of Pharmacology and Clinical Pharmacology at the University of Belgrade’s Faculty of Medicine. She was born in 1971 in Belgrade, where she finished elementary and high school and graduated from the Faculty of Medicine. Since 2000 she has worked at the Medical Faculty in Belgrade, where at the Institute of Pharmacology, Clinical Pharmacology and Toxicology, she first was a teaching and research assistant, then assistant professor, and since December 2016 an associate professor. Prof. Divac passed the board exam in the field of clinical pharmacology with honors in 2006. In 2010 she defended her PhD thesis titled "Qualitative and quantitative pharmacoepidemiological analysis of psychotropic drugs prescribing in psychiatric practice in Serbia". The research was conducted under the co-tutorship of Prof. Milica Prostran and Prof. Miroslava Jasovic Gasic. Prof. Nevena Divac completed post-graduate courses in pharmacoepidemiology, clinical epidemiology and public health at the Erasmus University in Rotterdam (Netherlands). Also, on several occasions, during the period from 2008 to 2012, she was invited as a guest-scientist to the University of Eppendorf in Hamburg (Germany) where she actively participated in research in the field of cardiovascular drugs pharmacokinetics and interactions. Prof. Divac’s work focuses on pharmacoepidemiology, neuropsychopharmacology and pharmacology of the cardiovascular system. She has published over one hundred scientific papers, chapters in books and abstracts, of which more than twenty in international peer reviewed scientific journals. She also serves as an external reviewer for several leading medical journals.
