VENUE

The Conference will be held in the building of the Faculty of Law, University of Banja Luka. The Faculty building is situated on the bank of the river Vrbas in the centre of Banja Luka, easily accessable from all parts of the city. The Faculty of Law owns the largest amphiteater at the University of Banja Luka, five multimedia lecture halls and a conference room (all rooms are located in the Faculty building).

The Conference participants can get to the Conference venue by bus or taxi (taxi services are not expensive). The Conference venue is also within walking distance to the major hotels in Banja Luka.

The Banja Luka International Airport

The Banja Luka International Airport is located in Mahovljani, near Banja Luka. The Banja Luka Airport is surrounded by airports in Sarajevo, Belgrade and Zagreb. There are direct flights from the Banja Luka Airport to Brussels, Berlin Memmingen, Stockholm, and Belgrade.

The Banja Luka airport is only 23 km away from Banja Luka, and it is located near the exit of Banja Luka – Gradiska highway. The roads from and to the Airport allow fast and easy transfers. The shuttle bus service operates at city of Banja Luka – Airport Banja Luka relation. All additional information regarding the shuttle bus service can be obtained by calling the Smiljic agency at +387 65 780 121.

The distance between the Conference venue (the Faculty of Law building) and the Banja Luka International Airport is around 25 km.

Monetary unit of Bosnia and Herzegovina is “convertible mark” (KM). In August 2019 the exchange rates were:

About the Faculty of Law, University of Banja Luka

The Faculty of Law, University of Banja Luka is a modern and well-organized higher education and scientific institution with a long tradition of educating lawyers and organizing teaching process at undergraduate and postgraduate level. Many academicians, university professors, judges, public prosecutors, directors of large business companies and other important public figures have been educated in this institution. The Faculty of Law has always rallied distinguished scholars and lecturers. At the moment, there are 42 employed professors and teaching assistants. The Faculty of Law is an organizational unit of the University of Banja Luka. The University of Banja Luka, founded on November 7, 1975 and comprising of 17 faculties today, is the leading higher education institution in Republic Srpska and the second largest one in the whole of Bosnia and Herzegovina. So far, the University has produced 31,500 graduates, 700 hundred specialists, 1,150 MA/MSc and 600 PhD degree holders respectively, with 20,000 students currently enrolled at its study programmes.

The Faculty of Law, University of Banja Luka owns the largest amphitheater at the University of Banja Luka, five multimedia lecture halls and a conference room. The Faculty of Law organizes and hosts every year a number of conferences and roundtables, some of which are held on an annual basis (e.g. the Annual Conference “October Law Days”). Many of these scientific events have international character.

The Faculty of Law, University of Banja Luka is a member of several international associations that bring together law faculties (e.g. European Law Faculties Association – ELFA). The University of Banja Luka is a member of the European University Association – EUA and is a signatory of the Magna Charta Universitatum.
