Principal Research Fellow, Institute of Social Sciences, Centre for Legal Research, with Medical Law PhD. degree, an expert and adviser for legal issues in health care. She is a visiting professor and associate in several law schools in Serbia and the Balkan region (Croatia, Bosnia), as well as in Master studies at School of Medicine, Belgrade University. With regard to the field of bioethics: she was one of the founding member for the Ethics Committee of Serbia in its first mandate (2007-2013), and is currently member of the National Committee for Bioethics at the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts (SANU), Bioethics Society of Serbia, as well as Deputy Head of the UNESCO Section of Bioethics in Serbia. She is member of the Ethics Committee of Children's Hospital 'Institute for Mother and Child' in Belgrade. In her research work she has been promoted to the highest position: Principal Research Fellow/ Full Professor. She is actively participating in the development of science and practice of medical law in Serbia. She was one of the founders and long-time Secretary General of the Yugoslav Association for Medical Law (1997-2011). Since recently she is Vice President of the Association of Lawyers for Medical and Health Law of Serbia (SUPRAM). She holds an award of the Ministry of Education and Science for excellence in scientific work. Hajrija Mujovic Zornic also holds numerous awards for cooperation with other institutions, universities, students, patients and medical professionals. She is the author of a significant number of papers on the topic of ethical and legal issues in medicine , she is a consultant for legislative issues and was keynote speaker at various conferences of lawyers and medical doctors. She is Head of the Centre for Legal Research at the Institute of Social Sciences, University of Belgrade.
